Requirements to change accreditation status

Programs that reach a validity of three years may extend it for two more years, if they request it during the first 18 months after the accreditation of the PE. For these purposes, the educational program must send CACEI a request for extension of validity in a period of not less than one year and not more than 18 months from the accreditation, which must be accompanied by a document that demonstrates with arguments and evidence of compliance only with the indicators previously qualified at the level of partially achieved. No other indicators should be included.
The review of said documentation will be the responsibility of the Appeals Committee, which will review the evidence and arguments. In response to said request, the Committee will determine whether to ratify the three-year validity or whether to grant the extension for two more years. The extension request may only be submitted once and the evaluation of these cases may be subject to an evaluation visit to the institution to validate the improvement in the requesting program.
