Continuous Improvement monitoring process

Description of the process of monitoring Continuous Improvement

  1. Once an educational program is accreditated also is committed to continuous improvement. The first of these is the Improvement Plan, which must be sent to CACEI no later than three months after the issuance of the accreditation decision. In the Improvement Plan, the accredited educational program shall propose to CACEI the goals and actions derived from the recommendations contained in the accreditation report. If the program does not submit the Improvement Plan, CACEI may revoke the accreditation. For more information about the structure of the Improvement Plan, it is recommended to consult the Guide to develop an Improvement Plan

Once receiving the Improvement Plan, CACEI will issue a response letter, in which it may suggest adjustments to such Plan. The Improvement Plan is not subject to evaluation; Therefore, attention to these suggestions will be the sole responsibility of the accredited educational program.

  2. At mid-term of accreditation (two years and a half), the accredited educational program should be sent to CACEI a Midterm Report, which must include advances and evidence derived from the goals and actions proposed in the Improvement Plan previously submitted. This report is subject to evaluation by the Mid-Term Committee. Upon receipt of this report, CACEI will issue a statement with the results of this evaluation.

IT IS IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER THAT THE PHILOSOPHY OF ACCREDITATION IS BASED ON CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT. THE IMPROVEMENT PLAN, MID-TERM REPORT AND THE FOLLOW-UP TO RECOMMENDATIONS REPORT, WHICH ARE TO BE UNDERSTOOD AS TOOLS FOR IMPROVEMENT, WILL ALLOW ADEQUATE PLANNING AND CONSISTENCY WITH OPPORTUNITY AREAS IDENTIFIED DURING THE ASSESSMENT, AND DECLARED BY CACEI IN THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE ACCREDITATION COMMITTEE’s CERTIFICATE.
